Chchch...Changes
And now for a little something new.
At least for the summer, where days of lounging with truly awful TV are calling to me a smidge louder than actual work, I want to try something new here.
I have been an amateur photographer my entire life. At different times I’ve been better than others. Sometimes I’ve sold what I do. Most of the time I don’t. But at all times I’ve noticed that when my words start being more stubborn, I usually need to spend a day out with my camera. “Refocus” - pun very intended - if you will. And that is what I think I need here. To refocus. So I’ve come up with a little something that may work. It may not. It may stay around. It may not. But I kind of hope it does - both work and stay around.
At the first of every month, I will post a photo I’ve taken. At the end of the month, I’ll send out the essay that photo prompts. My very own writing workshop, but I’m hoping some of the more writerly inclined of you will play along and tag me with your offerings. I think I’m not wrong in assuming I’m not the only one needing a bit of fun, a bit of play and a bit of focus as temperatures lure us out of our solitary hibernation.
So. I give you June’s prompt. This was taken exactly a year ago in London. We did not, in fact, eat here. A fact I’ve regretted since.
I’ll be back at the end of the month with an essay inspired by this photo prompt. If you play along, let me know! I’m already excited to see what might happen.

Excited to see this "experiment". Love Mom
